The much awaited event, Annual Prize Distribution and Cultural Programme, of the Senior Secondary School of The Lexicon International School, Wagholi was organized on 17th February, 2017.
The Annual Prize Distribution and Cultural Programme, which was organized in the auditorium, was graced by the Director of the Lexicon Schools, Dr. Monisha Sharma, Principal, Mrs. Gursimran Kaur, Supervisors and Teachers of the different sections of the school.
Most importantly, this grand event was graced by the parents of the senior secondary wing.
The program began with a formal welcome of the esteemed gathering by the Head Boy, Tanay Sharma and the Head Girl, Ria Govil. The cultural programmes began with a bang. The students showcased their talent through the mesmerizing music, band, singing; sole touching acting skills and graceful & elegant dance performances; a remarkable act - Mime and glamorous and fabulous Fashioniesta – a cavalcade of Lexicon beauties enthralled the spectators.
The Lexiband (instrumental music) by the boys rocked the stage. The Solo and Duet by the performers amazed the audience. The play – The Last Leaf by O.Henry, enacted by the students was a fantastic display of their acting skills. The back drop & music added to their performance. The Mime act on the status of a girl child touched the onlookers. The foot taping and rocking Dance performance on the Bollywood numbers left the audience spellbound. The Finale, Fashioniesta – a cavalcade of Lexicon beauties, stole the hearts of the guests.To add humor to the show, Shubham Bharathi of 11 A performed a comic strip to tickle the audience on Indian Traditional Parents’ expectations of their children.
In the midst of these cultural events, the students were honored a Certificate of Merit for their enthusiastic and energetic participation in a myriad of competitions like, sports & games, rangoli, mehandi art, music and dance, masterchef etc. Our students ascertained that they not only excel in academics but also in various inter school and interhouse competitions and proved their mettle.
The programme was well appreciated and applauded by the guests. The thunderous performances left the audience speechless. The event culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by a student council member, Hardik Negandhi.
