The Lexicon International School, Wagholi Holds a Grand Farewell for the First Batch of Passing-Out Students The Vibrant Lexiconites of Class 12 Enjoy a Gala Evening before Bidding Adieu “Go confidently in the Direction of your Dreams! Live the Life You’ve Imagined” The two years of trials and tribulations, grueling academics, examination blues interspersed with fascinating moments of friendship, innocent mischief, altercations and bafflements of the First batch of Passing-out students culminated on a majestic scale when their Juniors of Class 11 of The Lexicon International School, Wagholi gave them a grand Farewell at the plush auditorium of the school. The evening witnessed the dapper young men of Class 12 dressed in their best formals, while the ravishing young ladies looked stunning in gorgeous saris- ready to take the nostalgic ride down the memory lane. The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by a scintillating welcome dance which set the perfect tone for the evening. Students dressed in vibrant attire rocked the stage welcoming their seniors for the day’s event. Each outgoing student was felicitated with mementos and tokens of appreciation that would remind them of their tryst with Lexicon, Wagholi. The musical feat presented by the symphonious singers were no less enthralling with a medley of foot-tapping music making the audience groove and sing in chorus. The highlight of the programme was indubitably the grand Contest of Mr. and Ms. Lexicon, which witnessed three Rounds wherein Nominees comprising boys and girls of the outgoing batch of students participated with immense zeal. The gorgeous young ladies and the handsome young men walked the ramp with impeccable grace and poise in the First Round of the contest out of whom, 10 made it to the Second Round and 6 to the Final Round. The 3rd Round witnessed the contestants giving a tough competition to each other and an equally difficult time to the judges by answering the critical questions with aplomb. Mr. Tanay Sharma grabbed the Mr. Lexicon title for his witty and prompt answer, while Ms. Amita Nair was crowned Ms. Lexicon for her graceful disposition and candid response which reflected her presence of mind in sync with the question put forth to her. Students who have proved their prowess in other genres throughout the two years were also bestowed with Special Category awards which included those of Maximum Attendance, Best Sportsperson, Creative Excellence, Super Helper and Student of the Year. Mrs. Ripple Sharma, the Supervisor of Junior College, Lexicon Wagholi could not help her emotions. “Bidding adieu to my kids today seems to be the toughest of things that I have ever done,” quipped Mrs. Ripple Sharma. “They have pestered me with their notorious actions and relentless pleadings for meagre demands but at the same time, they have taught me to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment of it. Seeing them here today fills my heart with pride as they gear up for treading a whole new phase, even while the pain of separation lingers deep within.” The depiction of school life as presented through a humourous dance drama transported the students as well as the audience to a world of nostalgia as they relived those times of fun and frolic in High School days, examination blues and last minute preparations, the sweet pains of First Love and the freaking out with school friends at the Farewell. “The students have indeed taken me back to my good old school days- indeed those are the golden days of one’s life” said Mrs. Gursimran Kaur, the Principal, The Lexicon International School, Wagholi. “It’s one of the most important junctures in the lives of the students of Class 12 and on this day I would like to wish them all the very best for every venture they take up in future. May each one of you be showered with prosperity, happiness and success in the years to come.” Of course, the Dubsmash presented the “Lexicon- Way” added to the hilarious streak of the evening’s programme. The ludicrous feats of the 12th standard students and their comical ways made the auditorium roar with laughter. The event saw the Passing-out students take on the stage for one last time as a few of them shared their experience in the school, while the much-coveted Lexi-band mesmerized all with their mellifluous tunes. The Additional Director of the Lexicon Schools, Mrs. Sunita Sharma took this opportunity to address the Passing-out students and inspire them with her beautiful words of wisdom. “It’s just a matter of few days,” she said. “And for these few days, be oblivious of the rest of the world, be completely focused and give in your best. Nothing is impossible if you work hard and with the determination and will to succeed and accomplish your goals. So gear up students, your countdown begins now. Do well in life and come back to Lexicon to inspire the future batches with your success story.”
